1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Room Parent Pro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Room Parent Pro is a platform that helps room parents, teachers, and school administrators coordinate classroom volunteers, events, sign-ups, collections, and group communications. The Service is provided "as is" for school community coordination purposes.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep it updated.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Post abusive, harassing, or inappropriate content in chats or messages
• Collect or share personal information about students or other members without consent
• Misrepresent your role or affiliation with a school or classroom
• Attempt to disrupt or compromise the security of the platform

4A. Community Guidelines Addendum (Chat & Communication)

Chat and messaging features are for school-related purposes only. By using these features, you agree to the following community guidelines:

• Use chat only to coordinate school activities, events, volunteer sign-ups, and related classroom communications.
• No soliciting, advertising, or promotion of non-school activities, products, or services.
• No offensive, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory language.
• No spamming, bullying, or disruptive behavior.
• Respect the privacy of other members — do not share personal information outside the app.

Enforcement. Violation of these guidelines may result in removal of your content, suspension, or termination of your access to the app, at our discretion. We reserve the right to take action against any account that engages in conduct we deem harmful to the school community.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post (messages, event details, etc.). You grant us a license to display and process that content within the Service for the purpose of operating it. We may remove content that violates these Terms. You are solely responsible for the content you share.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service may involve references to students (e.g., names). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Student information is submitted by their parent or guardian for coordination purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this information is handled.

7. Payments & Collections

Some features involve money collections or fundraisers. Payment processing may be handled by third-party services (e.g., Venmo, Zelle, payment links). We do not hold or process funds directly unless stated otherwise. Refund and dispute policies are governed by the relevant payment provider and the collection organizer. We are not responsible for funds exchanged between users.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Room Parent Pro. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding without permission.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Room Parent Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed events, miscommunications, or issues with volunteer coordination.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion from Settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
